Title

The role of sleep and circadian phase on crew safety, performance and psychological health during long-term analog space missions

Project aims

We aim to pilot test an integrated program to assess sleep, circadian phase, cognitive functioning, behavioural health, and safety in isolated and confined environments. We propose to test our program with personnel wintering over in Antarctica. The study will provide data necessary for the development of an integrated, comprehensive program to monitor and improve crew health, safety and psychology during long-duration missions.
